The main topic of the work is the interpretation of feelings related to the issue of disappearing landscape values at the expense of uncontrolled extensive development of suburban areas. It is a subjective thought product of several years of experience in architectural practice, including, among other things, one's own participation in a similar invasive construction. This empiricism has resulted in the constant questioning of ethical conduct and responsibility. The key terms are suburbanization, urban sprawl, development, satellite town, outskirts, transformation of the aura of a place in „non-aura“. An integral part of the work is represented by considerations about the general position of the object within the hierarchy of (sub)urban space. The object does not mean only positive examples in the form of aesthetic, orientation or vegetation elements. The focus is also on its averted form — waste, utilitarian technical and functional elements or, for example, the seemingly endless colonization of public space by cars. Colonization of our minds. All spatial objects are also psychotropic. Their mental impact can be beneficial, arousing affect or emotion. But what if the objects in the public space are completely missing? The urban object is not far from the position of an artifact, a prop of everyday life, which does not belong to a person physically, but mentally.

Svobodová, Markéta ; Pelikán, Jiří (advisor) ; Straková, Jana (referee)
1 Summary: At present our society faces the fact that children have been losing interest in activities that do not generate an immediate result and their free time is spent primarily passive. Overall values in society have changed. To obtain the various resources, experiences, property, we prefer the easier way to the effort and perseverance. Therefore we cannot value our own personality and know ourselves. Probably that is why current society is called consumer. This study consists of two parts - the theoretical and the empirical part. The study deals with the relation between physiological and psychological development of children, influence of environment and the use of free time. It detects options and ability of pubescent children living in the city and in the country to use leisure time offer. It also examines how much the place of living influences the way of spending their free time. The main objective is to find differences in the use of free time due to specific life in the city and in the country. Some problems in relation to the free time are also mentioned, e.g. specifics of life in the satellite towns, some sociopathological phenomena (crime, drug addiction or vandalism). The empirical part describes and summarises the entire procedure, the creation of non- standard questionnaire and its...
Suburbanization of rural space (case study of the village Dolní Třebonín)
DRŠKOVÁ, Markéta
This diploma work consists of two parts. The theoretic part literary summary deals with the question of suburbanization and the practical part, in which the survey of suburbanization in model area Dolní Třebonín was conducted. In the theoretical part, I firstly mention the types of suburbanization, where we can distinguish residential and commercial suburbanization. Secondly I talk about phases of urbanization process. The previously mentioned suburbanization is a second phases. Then I focus on consequences of suburbanization, which are mostly negative. Due to the fact that process of suburbanization can be regulated I also describe some influential people and institutions that can reduce the negative effects. For a better imagination of developing suburbanization in Czech Republic I also describe the actual situation of this process. In the last chapter of literary summary I point at the problems of migration, which is closely connected with the process of suburbanization. Practical part contains the description of model area and also the evaluation of results taken out of the questionnaire survey. The newly checked results were used to indicate the impacts of suburbanization in the researched area, which was the main aim of my diploma work.
